INDIVIDUALS

We partner with compassionate and generous individuals as well as civic groups and foundations who want to make a difference in a struggling child’s life by unlocking hope-giving experiences that are common for many children but not for those in foster care.

Individuals

There are many ways to partner with Exiliant and the Making Dreams Come True program to make a foster child’s dream come true. They include:

1. Give Financially to Exiliant’s General Fund
This helps cover Exiliant’s general and operating costs and allows Exiliant to direct funds to the area or program of greatest need.

2. Direct Giving to Match Your Personal Interests and Passions

If an individual or family is passionate about horseback riding, sponsor a group of foster children to take horseback riding lessons. Or, if an individual or family is passionate about dance, or art, or a particular sport, sponsor foster children to do those respective activities.

3. Direct Giving to Mirror Your Children's Interests and Passions

If your child(ren) participates in a sports program or league, then consider sponsoring foster children to participate in a similar sports program or league. Or, if a family has four children, they could sponsor four birthday celebrations to match the number of children’s birthdays in their household.

Businesses

LOCAL BUSINESSES

We partner with local businesses who want to give back to their communities by inviting them to be a part of bringing hope and care to these often invisible children. From providing discounted goods and services to even donating time, services and products, it is incredibly meaningful for all in our community to come alongside these children and give them the powerful realization that they are seen and heard and that they matter and are not forgotten.

Examples of partnerships include:

  • Bakeries who provide themed birthday cakes for foster children, some of whom may have never before had a party celebrating them and their birthday

  • Sport coaches, institutions or local/club programs that provide free or discounted clinics, camps, and/or league registrations for these underprivileged children who would otherwise never have the chance to play youth soccer, baseball, golf, tennis, basketball, gymnastics, etc.

  • Horse stables that offer free or discounted horseback riding lessons to a select number of foster children

  • Museums or concert halls that provide free or discounted tickets for theater productions, concerts and museum visits

  • Art, music or dance studios that provide free or discounted lessons each month for a select number of foster children

Churches

CHURCHES

We invite churches who have the heart and vision to meet the needs of some of the most vulnerable people in our communities, children who wake up one day to find themselves placed in foster care often through no fault of their own, to come alongside these precious children and be the hands, feet and heart of Jesus to the “least of these.” Many of these children are in the “backyard” of our churches and communities, yet, are unseen and unknown.

In addition to churches supporting the Making Dreams Come True program, Exiliant partners with local churches to inform them and educate them on the placement needs within their communities and invite them and their church members to be a part of providing safe and stable homes for children in the foster care system.

It is not uncommon for there to be 250-1,000 foster children in a county, but only 30-50 foster families to house them. Imagine what could happen if just 10% of churches raised up 2-5 families to shelter and care for foster children. The shortage of suitable and healthy homes for in-care foster children would be solved almost overnight.
